
High Coniscliffe Waters
One and a half miles of the northern (left) bank of the River Tees between High Coniscliffe and Merrybent.
A lovely mixture of deep holding pools and gravelly runs. Easy wading.
Excellent stocks of wild brown trout, grayling and chub.
Access via public footpath down from centre of High Coniscliffe and by public footpath across farmland.

Manfield and Cleasby Waters
Two miles of the southern (right) bank of the River Tees between the top end of Manfield Scar and Cleasby Deeps.
Above the A1(M) road bridge. Perhaps the least fished part of the clubs water. Difficult access in parts, with lots of over-hanging trees but superb deep holes and fast runs.
Excellent stocks of wild brown trout, grayling, dace, chub, barbel and the occasional salmon and sea-trout.
Access via Boathouse Lane leading from western end of Cleasby village green to Low Coniscliffe ford.

The Holmes Waters
One and a quarter miles of the right hand bank (Yorkshire bank) of the River Tees, between Cleasby Deeps and Stapleton Corner.
A mixture of gravelly runs and deep holding pools, including the famous Blackwell Bridge Pool and The Crusher Pool, which offer the best prospect of producing early season salmon.
This lovely stretch forms a dramatic loop in the river, which can provide a sheltered swim whatever direction the wind may be blowing!
Improving stocks of barbel can be found here, including big chub and the occasional large pike.
Access via padlocked gate beside the old Tollhouse at Blackwell Bridge and from Cleasby Lake car park.

Blackwell Waters
One and a half miles of the County Durham (left) bank of the River Tees between Blackwell Road Bridge and the Blackwell Pumping Station.
The most popular stretch of Darlington Anglers waters.
Excellent stocks of wild brown trout, grayling, dace, chub, barbel, pike and the occasional salmon and sea-trout.
Access via the A66 to the Blackwell Allotments car park. Bankside footpaths around Blackwell Holm, past Stapeton Corner, down past High Linhams house and to Blackwell Pumping Station.

Stapleton Waters
One and a half miles of the Yorkshire (right) bank of the River Tees between Stapleton and Nag's Head corner.
Excellent stocks of wild brown trout, grayling, dace, chub, barble, pike and the occasional salmon and sea-trout.
Access via footpath from Stapleton Village Green and via Strawgate Lane, which leads off to the south from Stapleton Green.

Nags Head and Oxney Flatts Waters
Two Miles of the County Durham (left) bank of the River Tees between Blackwell Pumping Station and the mouth of the River Skerne.
Excellent stocks of wild brown trout, grayling, dace, chub, barbel, pike, bream and the occasiional salmon and sea-trout.
Some of the best-performing pegs on the River Tees.
Several points of access via track to Blackwell Pumping station, or from Oxney Flatts Farm, or from Croft Road lay-bys.
